Project: 70’s Renovation
This renovation project draws inspiration from the iconic 70s style, a decade rich in bold colors, textures, and audacious forms. The clients wanted to transform their apartment into a spacious, bright, and warm living space, while incorporating the aesthetic codes of this remarkable era. The goal was to create a space that is both relaxed and functional, where every design element finds its place.
One of the project's priorities was to maximize the amount of natural light. This was achieved by opening up the space and playing with warm tones like brown, burnt orange, and yellow, accented with contrasting touches of blue. This color scheme, typical of the 70s, evokes a joyful and welcoming atmosphere, while adding a touch of modernity to the layout.
Wood takes center stage in the decor, bringing warmth and a natural feel to the space. Used for the flooring, furniture, and decorative elements, it is enhanced by the addition of velvet. This contrast between raw wood and rich velvet perfectly captures the spirit of the 70s, blending simplicity with sophistication.
The furniture, with its low profiles, reinforces the idea of relaxation and conviviality while maximizing functionality. Each piece was designed to offer not only a visually impactful style but also comfort and practicality in everyday life.
The design goes beyond aesthetics: functionality was at the heart of the process. Clever and discreet storage solutions were integrated to optimize the space without overwhelming the overall appearance. The layout was also designed to allow easy movement throughout the apartment, creating a space that is both practical and enjoyable to live in.
